This class is designed for moms or dads to join their little yogis and share a practice together! ❤️

The class includes basic yoga poses, breathing exercises, and yoga games. This class is reserved for parents and children ages 6-9 years.

Leprechaun Hunt! 3/21

A mischievous leprechaun has hidden his gold on the trails around the Nature Center!  Come get your own map and list of clues and set off to search for the treasure!  Exchange your "gold" for prizes back at the Nature Center!  The Park Naturalist and volunteers will be available to help with map reading and assist in the Hunt!  All ages and abilities welcome!  Can't come at 10:00 am?  A limited number of maps will still be available at the Nature Center until 2:00 pm.

Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure 3/3 & 3/4

Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure is an immersive experience that invites you to jump in and explore unknown ocean depths where prehistoric marine reptiles lived eons ago - and maybe live still today! Erth shows are at the forefront of family entertainment, using actors, technology, puppets, science and imagination to create an amazing visual experience that connects young audiences to the real science of paleontology.

First Snowshoe - Jr. Herons Club 1/19

Paul Smiths College VIC is carrying their popular summer program right through the winter.  Join them each Sunday for one of 6 different programs offered for children.  All programs get kids outside--dress accordingly and see you on the trails!  Ages 5-11, $5.

.First Snowshoe: Participants will walk the Boreal Life trail to explore the woods on snowshoes. Equipment provided; dress to be outside for 1.5 hours.

Storytime at The Brookstore Plus

On the second Sunday of every month, at 4:00 PM, The Bookstore Plus hosts a themed story & craft hour. All children (especially children at heart) are welcome! The storyteller reads to the curious listeners and then guides them through a themed, fun craft activity. All the materials needed are provided, for crafts time, at no cost. Join in the children's section!

The theme for January is Bedtime Stories!

They will be reading Goodnight, Little Blue Truck and Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site.

Saturday Wee-Ski Session #1 1/11

A “mom and me” program for children ages 2.5 to 4 (dad’s and grandparents welcome) designed to introduce toddlers to skiing and snowshoeing in a fun age appropriate environment. Skiing skills are introduced through play with a focus on the joy of outdoor activities. Day care will be provided. $40 for session or $10 drop in for the day.

Santas ski free + toy/coat drive 12/15

Sunday, December 15 | Whiteface Mountain

Mark your calendars for another year of holiday spirit and fun at Whiteface Mountain because on Sunday, December 15, all Santas ski for FREE! Come dressed as Mr. or Mrs. Claus, participate in our group photo and ski or ride for FREE all day. You may pick up your lift ticket at the Whiteface Ticket window and all Santas must meet at the base of the Face Lift at 10:00 am for this year's group photo! Bring a new/gently used winter coat or a new toy (valued over $10) and receive 50% off your lift ticket or Cloudsplitter Gondola Ride for the day. Your coat or toy will be a gift to someone in need during the holidays, so please consider this as you're choosing what to bring. All donations will be collected by volunteers from the Boy Scouts of America and the Saranac Lake Key Club.

The Polar Express (Teen for Marines Toy Drive) 12/11

CP Holiday Train with Alan Doyle & Beautiful Band 11/27

The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will soon set out once again to entertain hundreds of thousands of people, celebrating 21 years of collecting food and raising funds for food banks across North America.

The CP Holiday Train program launched in 1999 and has since raised more than C$15.8 million and gathered 4.5 million pounds of food for communities along CP's routes in Canada and the United States. Every pound and dollar raised at each stop stays with the local food bank to help feed those in need in that community.

The train will arrive at the scheduled event time and depart immediately after the show. Please give yourself extra time getting to the event to compensate for crowds and traffic. Also make sure to keep a safe distance of 50 feet away from the train while it’s moving so we can safely continue our journey. If you spot unsafe behaviour, alert a police officer.

Holiday Cookie Party with Santa! 12/7

Join the friendly people at Rulf’s Orchard for a 1 hour cookie decorating sessions this holiday season. One ticket is $15 and buys 3 cookies to decorate (Snowman, Stocking & Christmas Tree*) a cup of cider or hot chocolate, and a Santa Kit.

The Santa Kit is a special gift to prepare the children for Santa to come. A Christmas themed basket with a letter from Santa, a takeaway Christmas craft to do at home, reindeer food to sprinkle on the ground on Christmas eve, elf kisses from the North Pole, a magical key to your house for Santa to use and a few extra goodies!

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the SPCA.
