Mad Science of the Capital District
Mad Science of the Capital District has planned some amazing programming for your kiddos this summer: some in person, some virtual, and even a “Camp in a Box”!
Virtual camps include a bag of materials delivered to you for 1.5-3 hours virtual time M-F from 9-12 the week of camp, become an inventor and create Rube Goldberg challenges, harmonicas, and your very own light saber!
They also have camps virtually through SCCC: (week of 7/27 from 9-12, Secret Agent Lab. Week of 8/3 from 9-12, the World Around Us. Week of 8/17, Eureka) click here for info.
Mad Science of the Capital District will also be offering in person camps for the following date (registration and more info for the in person dates coming soon, for now save the date!):
In person at We Rock the Spectrum week of 8/17.
In person at Albany JCC week of 8/24 and 8/31.
In person at SJCC week of 8/31.
In-person camp at Queensbury Parks and Rec, ages 7-12, the week of 7/27 from 9-12. It is outdoors. Robotics.
In-person rocketry camp (Blast Off!) at one of Malta Parks and Recs pavilions from 9-12 the week of 8/10.
Along with the two virtual camps, Mad Science of the Capital District has also created "camp in a box", which gets delivered, no virtual time, with all materials and directions (and you tube videos if students want). Camp in a box comes with 10 activities for $50. I have the first up, and am working on a couple of more. Camp in a box is also at this link.
