Breastfeeding women and their families are invited to participate in The Big Latch On planned for Saturday, August 3 at 10:30 am on the front lawn of CVPH. Sponsored by the Alice T. Miner Women and Children's Center, the Plattsburgh Big Latch On is part of a world-wide effort to promote breastfeeding as a healthy start for babies. Any and all breastfeeding and breast milk fed families are welcome to attend.
Registration takes place between 9:30 - 10 am. Mothers and babies should be settled on the front lawn by 10 am. The official latch (or flange) and counting will begin at 10:30 am. Infants drinking
expressed breast milk from a bottle will also be part of the official count.
Ample parking will be available in the Medical Office Building lot, off the Cornelia Street entrance. A blanket or lawn chair is recommended. In case of rain, the event will be held in the hospital’s Main Lobby.
