Storytime is today at 10:30am at Northshire Bookstore on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, this is a free program, drop in, no registration required.
In Celebration of Bike Month Bikeatoga is Sponsoring a Twilight Bike Ride / Pot Luck Picnic Enjoy the Park in Your Own Backyard! (Saratoga Spa State Park) Friday May 19th
Ride: 5:30PM. Meet: 5PM Warming Hut (off Avenue of the Pines) The Hut will be open at 5PM to drop off food for picnic. Please bring coolers with ice to keep food and beverages cold. Food: There will be sausage & peppers, mac & cheese. Other suggestions: chips, dips, hummus, salads, desserts. There is a small grill. Ride: We will bike the park on the paved paths at a leisurely pace – exploring the flora & fauna that the park has to offer-and return to a feast!
Please Bring:
- Binoculars, bird & wildflower guides ( if you have)
- Insect repellent
- Water bottle – we can go to the springs to fill up
- Bike Lights -white front/ red rear
Some Planned Sites: keeping eyes & ears peeled for pileated woodpeckers, owls & warblers
- Woodchuck hangouts (and golfers)
- Spouts
- Springs – Orenda (& the tufa build-up)
- The picnic table burial ground

The Saratoga Independent School annual Kite Festival Day is today from 10am - 2pm. The outdoor celebration will include kites, face-painting, a bounce house, food for purchase, and more. Saratoga Kids: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library Party is today at Northshire Bookstore on Broadway in Saratoga Springs at 2pm. Attention Lemoncello fans! In celebration of Chris Grabenstein's Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library and Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics - and in anticipation of the October release of Mr. Lemoncello's Great Library Race, we're hosting a party! Complete bookseller led challenges and activities to solve the clues, "escape" from the bookstore, and win some great prizes.
