Leaf Scavenger Hunt & Craft
Time: October 8th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Where: The Crawshaw Story Room at the Saratoga Springs Public Library
For Children ages 3-10 accompanied by their parents or caregivers. Meet in the Crawshaw Story Room at the Saratoga Springs Public Library and then walk to Congress Park to identify leaves with the help of an Environmental Educator from Wilton Wildlife Preserve. On the way, collect leaves and other natural materials to make a nature mobile. Register in the Children's Room or by calling (518) 584-7860, extension 305.
Chemistry Lab at The Children’s Museum at Saratoga

Admission: Free with museum admission.
Join us for this exciting drop in program. We will be testing out our new chemistry set from the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) as we learn to understand the world around us, solve problems, and make extraordinary discoveries. This program is best suited for children ages 3+. October 8th.
Science Festival of the Capital Region
Time: 9 AM - 5 PM
Where: miSci- Museum of Innovation and Science, 15 Nott Terrace Heights Schenectady
Admission: $12 for adults, $8 for children, $10 for seniors, Under 3 is free.
The Science Festival of the Capital Region is being held at miSci (Museum of Innovation and Science) this week and there are so many things for kids to explore!
Science Festivals are community-based celebrations of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). Over the course of a week, Science Festival events take place around the Capital Region. The main event is the STEAM EXPO featuring partners from throughout the region presenting hands-on activities, demonstrations, and stage performances for visitors of all ages. Essentially, the EXPO is a big STEAM party on the miSci Campus.
