The Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists is on Sunday, June 2nd from 2-5:30pm at Saratoga Performing Arts Center featuring Empire State Youth Orchestra, Northeast Ballet Company, the School of the Arts at the National Museum of Dance, and the Capital District Youth Chorale!

A FREE EVENT* for the community, the festival will celebrate the collaborative creativity of more than 400 of the Capital Region’s brightest young dancers, musicians, singers, poets, and visual artists.

Kicking off at 2:00 p.m. SPAC’s grounds will be transformed into a festive celebration with student pop-up performances, fine art displays, food stands, poetry jams, immersive workshops and activities.

At 4:30 p.m. Hundreds of young artists from all four featured organizations will gather together to present a one-hour concert on SPAC’s main stage, featuring large-scale productions that combine music, song, and dance.

The festival will celebrate the collaborative creativity of more than 400 of the Capital Region’s brightest young dancers, musicians, singers, poets, and visual artists, culminating in a large-scale production on SPAC’s stage at 4:30 p.m. that will feature the premiere of a new work choreographed by New York City Ballet’s Lauren Lovette with Northeast Ballet Company.

The concert program will include celebrated works by Leonard Bernstein, John Williams, Ralph Vaugh Williams, Alberto Ginastera, Edvard Grieg and John Prescott, as well as the anticipated premieres of two student compositions and student-choreographed dances.

SPAC’s 2019 Festival of Young Artists is part of the venue’s commitment to fostering artistic collaboration and providing free access to enriching arts programs.
