Since the “First Day” hike was postponed due to weather, on Sunday from 1-3pm join Saratoga Springs State Park staff on a two mile guided hike through the unique natural features of Saratoga Spa State Park and afterwards, relax by the fire sipping hot cocoa in the Creekisde Classroom. Pique your child’s visual arts interests with this hands-on workshop at Home Depot on Saturday, January 5th from 9am to 12pm (3043 Route 50, Saratoga Springs) where you and your child can build an easel. Your young artist can display artwork from school or create a new masterpiece on the dry-erase whiteboard keeping the project mess free. Encourage your artist to experiment with different mediums—Picasso, Kahlo and Basquiat utilized easels after all. Once your easel is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.
On Tuesday, January 8th, join The Beagle School for their open house and registration for their 2-year-old program at Little Beagle at 107 Circular Street in Saratoga Springs from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
On Tuesday, January 15th, they will hold their open house and registration for their 3 and 4-year-old programs at their “Little Red Schoolhouse” at 115 Regent Street in Saratoga Springs from 10 a.m. to noon.

Northshire Bookstore’s new parent meetup takes place weekly on Thursdays at 10:30 am, and is facilitated by Rebecca Rovner, birth & postpartum doula. Pre-K Nature Discovery Hour at Camp Saratoga is on Monday, January 14th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
This monthly program is for the youngest explorers (ages 3-6 years old) at Camp Saratoga (on Scout Road, Parking Lot #1, Scout Road Gansevoort) where they use children’s love of nature to teach simple concepts. Adults are expected to attend. This is an outdoor program so please come dressed for the weather. There will be a short walk, a simple nature craft, and a healthy snack! Lego Night is at the Saratoga Springs Public Library on Tuesday, January 8th from 7-8pm. Children in grades 1-5 should bring your imagination, and they'll provide the Legos! Drop in and make your own creation, check out some of their Lego building books for ideas, or invent your own. Feel free to bring a friend or family member. No registration required.

On Saturday, Jan 5th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM join Kelly Duheme, IBCLC, in collaboration with Saratoga Midwifery, Saratoga OBGYN at Myrtle Street, and Saratoga WIC, for a FREE support group to connect with other breastfeeding mothers at Saratoga Hospital, 211 Church Street Saratoga Springs.
Participants will celebrate successes, share struggles, and offer guidance and support to help both mom and baby throughout their breastfeeding journey. Expectant mothers are encouraged to attend, and the group is open to all mothers regardless of delivery location. Grandmothers and siblings (up to age 5) are also welcome.
